I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and I practice CBT. I run a private practice and until recently also worked for the NHS, as a Psychotherapist, running clinics in GP surgeries and ‘Mood management’ groups.
Working previously as an Occupational Therapist, I have experience of both physical disabilities/long term conditions and the low mood and anxieties that can often accompany them. I remain an HCPC registered health professional.
I have completed further training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) from the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC) and apply this to 1:1 therapy, when helpful.
I have also undergone training in Compassion Focussed Therapy, which can be especially helpful with shame-based difficulties and Trauma.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. The treatment focuses mainly on the present, whilst still acknowledging the past. If you would like to read more about this then have a look on the NHS Choices website.
Treatment usually takes somewhere between 8 -20 sessions but can also be longer term if needed.
£70 per 50 minute session – For privately paying clients. Also working with many private insurance companies, please enquire for more information.
