Tim Quickenden

Tim qualified in 1996 with a BSc.(Hons) Sport and Exercise science degree majoring in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. This academic background has been backed with numerous vocational qualifications including a diploma in sports therapy, sports & remedial massage and personal training. Tim is also an A.P.P.I qualified Pilates instructor.

Having spent the early years of his career working for health and fitness operators in London including David Lloyd Leisure and Dragons health clubs, in 2002 Tim went freelance establishing himself as a personal fitness trainer & sports therapist offering a varied array of services.

Tim started working at The Physiotherapy Centre in 2005 and continues to enjoy working with an array of different clients and patients. This could be offering appropriate and beneficial fitness sessions and programmes for everybody from weight loss clients to elite level runners and trialthetes, or maybe providing the weekly Spinal Fitness, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Pilates classes the centre offers.

As a sports massage therapist, Tim again sees a wide range of clients whether it be for remedial massage for postural issues and stress relief all the way through to specific sports massage for all levels of sports person suffering with soft tissue issues, always backed up with appropriate strengthening and flexibility exercise advice.

Tim is motivated, hugely enthusiastic in all things sports, health and fitness and when not working hard will probably be found windsurfing, running, cycling or spending time with his wife and young family.
