Yves has been qualified as a Physiotherapist for 10 years. He qualified in 1994 in Ghent (Belgium). He has since worked for 5 years in the NHS where he gained experience mainly in Trauma and Orthopaedics, general musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and back rehabilitation. He has worked in the private sector for nearly 5 years and has recently become a partner at The Physiotherapy Centre.
His clinical specialities are low back pain, muscular imbalances, general rehabilitation following fractures and soft tissue injuries such as ACL-reconstruction etc. Yves uses techniques such as manipulation, acupuncture and graded exercises .
He is also working closely with Scottish and Southern Energy providing ergonomics assessments, “How to care for your back” presentations, individual assessment and treatment for employees.
Yves is married and has a son, his hobbies are DIY, running, skiing and golf.
He started a Masters degree in sports physiotherapy in September 2004.
