Coming to our specialist Orthopaedic Consultant led clinic is not as expensive as you might think, your initial assessment is only £80!

Orthopaedic injuries (including hip, pelvic, shoulder, knee, etc.) are fairly common especially in certain groups of athletes such as runners, dancers, gymnasts and football players. Hip and pelvis injuries are most common in adolescents and older adults. However more recent advances in diagnostics and medical/surgical knowledge has allowed for early screening. Therefore in younger adults possible hip movement disorders and pathologies can be diagnosed earlier allowing for early intervention and management.

Typical hip conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis of the hip
  • Femoro-acetabular impingement
  • CAM impingement
  • Labral tears
  • Avascular necrosis of the hip
  • Dysplasia
  • Trochanteric Bursitis
  • Pagets disease
  • Hernia
  • Snapping iliopsoas tendon

Hip and pelvis pain can be difficult to diagnose as pain can be referred from many different areas of the body such as the lumbar spine, sacroiliac joints, the hip joint itself or any of the surrounding soft tissues. Hence many patients suffering from hip/pelvis pain can often be left frustrated as different professionals may give varying opinions as to where the source of the pain originates.

This is where the Orthopaedic Clinic provides a unique service combining orthopaedic (bone and joint anatomy/structure) and neuromusculoskeletal (movement and soft tissues) expertise in one assessment.

The Orthopaedic Consultant and Physiotherapist who run the Orthopaedic Clinic have a special interest in the hip and pelvis and have worked together for a considerable time providing you with the best possible care and solution to your hip or pelvic pain.

We are now looking to add to our team of physiotherapists. View our current vacancies page for more information.
