Catherine is an experienced MSK Physiotherapist and is a specialist in refomer pilates.
Your Why: I am passionate about providing individualised care to all my patients providing treatment plans tailored to each individual’s symptoms, lifestyle, hobbies and preferences. I believe in shared decision making between patient and therapist and like to empower patients to feel in control of their rehab process to allow them to achieve long term results.
The Reassurance: I joined the team at The Physiotherapy Centre in November 2023. After graduating from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 2017 I worked for 6 years in the NHS. During this time I worked in a variety of different departments including trauma and orthopaedics, hydrotherapy, falls clinics and inpatient rehabilitation before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
I am registered with the HCPC (PH113103) and CSP (102124). I have a special interest in hydrotherapy and enjoy taking part in additional training in this area. More recently I have become an APPI certified Reformer Pilates instructor and offer 1:1 sessions on our reformer, which is proving to be very popular with our clients!
The Real You: Away from the treatment room, I spend most of my time outdoors with my two (very spoilt) fur- babies, my 9 year old Irish sports horse, May and my 1 year old Rottweiler, Roxy! I also enjoy going to the gym, I find something there’s something very satisfying about picking heavy stuff off the floor!
Quick-fire:
Coffee order: Black coffee with some form of sweetener or syrup (I’m apparently not sweet enough!)
Sunday morning A dog walk or training session, followed by a ride through the woods and a good canter across an open field.
Favorite way to move: Dog walking , horse riding, weight lifting, Reformer Pilates and occasional sprints (only if I’ve had a strong coffee before!).
